The Turku, Turku! concert was organised at the Turku Market Square on June 9th. The concert attracted approximately 5.000 people to celebrate the programme for the upcoming Capital of Culture.

Versatile Turku 2011 programme is now released

The Turku 2011 Programme is a wide entity that emphasises the long-term impacts of all of the activities. The programme’s key goal is highlighting the importance of culture for the well-being of people and the environment. The programme is being celebrated with concerts in Turku 9 June and in Helsinki 11 June. Welcome!

Turku 2011 offers the residents ways to participate

City districts and neighbours take the limelight

Turku 2011 will introduce culture to the city suburbs and make the suburbs part of the city culture. Three major projects will present all Turku city districts, bring art on apartment building walls as well as open doors for neighbouring artists.
