Context

 

Turku City Hospital

The Turku City Hospital is a specialized level hospital. Treatment mainly by a doctor's or a nurse's referral.

  • Ear, Nose and Throat Outpatient Clinic
  • Home Hospital
  • Children and Adolescents' Outpatient Clinic
  • Eye Diseases Outpatient Clinic
  • Internal Diseases Outpatient Clinic
  • Hospital Wards of Internal Diseases
  • Endoscopy Unit

Client Fees

Specialized medical treatment fees depend on the unit. The fees are either outpatient clinic fees, bed day fees or appointment fees. More information on payment policies is available at the Health Care Department Client Fees page.

Patient Ombudsman

City of Turku, Well-being Section provides the services of a Patient Ombudsman to advise on procedures for appeal if a client of a family member is not satisfied with the treatment.

Hospital Chaplains

Hospital Chaplains care for patients, family members and staff, and organize different religious gatherings. There is a silent room in the hospital, which is reserved for  contemplation. It can be found on the first floor of the old surgical hospital and it is always open from 8 a.m. to 16 p.m.

Social Workers

Different units at the City Hospital employ a social worker, who is available for advice on social security and social welfare issues.
