On 25 Sep, the City of Turku brings to Stockholm an exclusive programme featuring company directors, researchers, and cultural influencers from both Stockholm and Turku. The event will host Turku speakers such as Mats Eriksson, President at Sandvik Load and Haul; Anna Godenhjelm, Managing Director at PerkinElmer Wallac Oy; and Mikko Kodisoja, founder of Supercell.
The programme also includes two Round Table Discussions under the themes of Cleantech (CleanTurku) and Healthtech (HealthTurku). CleanTurku covers the construction of a shared innovation ecosystem for circular bioeconomy, and HealthTurku is all about shared innovations in biosciences with modern research infrastructures. Among the speakers of the Round Table Discussions and the afternoon programme are Mikko Hupa, Rector at Åbo Akademi University; Juhani Knuuti, Professor and Director at Turku PET Centre; Marketta Häkkänen, Head of Clinical and Pharmaceutical Development at Bayer Finland; and many more.
In 2029 Turku turns 800 years, and the anniversary plans include realization of a large new museum of history in Turku. Panel discussion addresses current topic of what the museums in the future should be. The panel will be attended by i.e. Daniel Wetterskog, Museum Director at the Swedish Museum of Performing Arts; Berndt Arell, Exhibition Producer at Fotografiska International; and Kai Kartio, Museum Director at Amos Rex in Helsinki.
Furthermore, the programme will include two modules of tourism and culture, more details can be found in the full programme. Åbodagen is promising to be a day of high-standard discussions and meetings.
