Expanding walking-oriented spaces increases comfortability and vividness in the city centre. As cars are directed into parking halls, there will be more space to build the city for people.

Transport and mobility solutions have a significant role from the point of view of comfortability, accessibility and effortlessness of mobility in the city centre. The city has begun to investigate alternative models of transport, measuring different alternatives against the City of Turku objectives of carbon neutrality and modes of transport distribution, among others.
