Emergency services provided by health stations (8 a.m.–4 p.m. on business days)

On business days, your local health station is your primary provider of health care services in all cases of accidents and illness.

  • Health stations are open Mon–Fri from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • You can make an appointment by phone 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. on Mondays and 8 a.m.–3:30 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday.

A nurse from the health station will determine how urgently you require care and book you an appointment. If you require urgent medical attention, you will be scheduled an appointment on the same day. You may also assess how urgently you require care at www.omaolo.fi

If you require urgent medical attention outside office hours, please contact the joint emergency services of the Turku region located in building T of the Turku University Hospital. Always call the joint emergency services first, tel. +358 (0)2 313 8800. The paediatric emergency clinic is located in building U of the Turku University Hospital, tel. +358 (0)2 313 1420.

The emergency services also include the treatment of accidents at work or school and in traffic at all times of the day.

Always call the emergency number 112 in the event of a sudden attack of a disease, sudden intense chest pain, unconsciousness or a risk of death.
