Applying for Income Support

A married or cohabiting couple and their children living in the same address belong to the same household, so the incomes and expenses of family members are also required.

Also funds on a bank account, stocks or investment fund shares are primary means compared to income support.

The applicant for income support must submit all necessary information in their possession that has a bearing on income support. Applications not completed in full or submitted without the required attachments delay processing, and may result in the application being rejected (Social Assistance Act §17, and the Administrative Procedure Act §31).

When you are filling the application form, please make sure to

• read and fill the income support application form carefully,
• sign the application form,
• attach all required documents; The list of attachments is printed on the income support application form.
