The museum is located on a hill, and the terrain is uneven, so it can be difficult for the physically disabled to move on the grounds. The houses have steps leading up to them, which makes them harder to access.
There are wheelchair ramps to enable access to Museum Shop Hantvärkki, the toilets as well as Café Kisälli.
The personal assistants of physically disabled persons get free admission to the museum. Guide dogs and service dogs are allowed in the museum.
