In 2020, we will organize again plenty of interesting happenings in Turku. There are several events for the public offering city culture, culinary experiences and maritime atmosphere. For the sports fans, we offer the Finnish Athletics Championships Kalevan Kisat which will be organized this summer in Turku. A brand-new music festival – Turku Sea Jazz – will be held at the Ruissalo Shipyard.

Paavo Nurmi Games form part of the IAAF World Challenge with international top athletes.

New Potato Festival 12.-13.6.
Finnish early potatoes will be celebrated on the courtyard of the Brewery Restaurant Koulu.

Aurajoen Wauhtiajot 13.6.
Mahogany classic motorboats will gather for the show rides on the River Aura.

Medieval Market 25.-28.6.
The largest medieval event in Finland will be organised at the Old Great Square.

Ruisrock 3.-5.7.
The traditional and very popular Ruisrock Festival will be celebrated in the National Park of Ruissalo.

Swan European Regatta 7.-12.7.
The beautiful Swan yachts can be admired on the shores of the River Aura or on Airisto in the Archipelago Sea.

Turku Castle Medieval Tournament 9.-12.7.
Historical and authentic martial combats on foot and horseback can be witnessed in the Castle Park.

Down By The Laituri festival / DBTL 23.-25.7.
Top artists for music enthusiasts in the historical surrounding near the Turku Cathedral.

Airisto Classic Regatta 23.-26.7.
Classic yachts competing in several classes. Regatta is a part of Baltic Classic Masters sailing competition and the programme is open for the public.

Turku Sea Jazz 31.7.-1.8.
A new high-class jazz festival as part of the series of the festivals of Archipelago Sea Jazz will be launched in Turku.

Challenge Turku 1.-2.8.
The swim course will be held along the River Aura. The bike and the run courses can also be followed near the centre.

Turku Music Festival 6.-16.8.
The event features top names in classical music including orchestral concerts, opera, chamber music and recitals.

Vegånia & Ølfest 7.-8.8.
Vegan street food festival and beers from small local breweries.

Finnish Athletics Championships knows as Kalevan kisat 13.-16.8.
A top event of the Finnish athletics will be this year in Turku. The best moments will be broadcast direct by Yle.

Paavo Nurmi Marathon 22.8.
Thousands of runners from more than 20 countries will take part in one of the biggest running events in Finland.

Food & Art Festival 3.-6.9.
International and domestic top chefs, culinary experiences and arts.

Turku Herring Market 22.-25.10.
A wide selection of fish products, seafood and other delicacies to take away or to enjoy on the spot.

Christmas Market at the Old Great Square on Saturdays and Sundays from 28.11. to 20.12.
The Traditional Christmas Market brings a breath of old time and offers a touch of Christmas magic.
