Bus lines
- Föli lines 32 and 42 operate at peak times every 10 minutes, and in addition to the Varissuo residential area, the lines reach the residents of the neighbouring Littoistentie and Kalevantie areas well.
- The Föli bus 60 also operates from Varissuo, via Vaala and Lauste along Lemminkäisenkatu near the temporary facility.
The Varissuo health station will move to temporary facilities due to indoor air problems. On 7 March 2022, the Turku City Board decided that the temporary facilities would be rented from Pihlajalinna Turku Kupittaa.
Health station appointment number, tel. +358 226 611 30 (Mon-Fri, 8am-2 pm), will help customers of Varissuo health centre also in the future. During the three-day closure (7-11 October 2022), patients requiring urgent treatment are directed through the telephone service to other health stations in Turku. The temporary facilities are located approximately 4.7 km from Varissuo Business Centre along good public transport connections.
The child health clinic at the Varissuo health station will be transferred to the Varissuo business centre (Littoistentie 81) and the Varissuo dental clinic to Kupittaa to the Eurocity property (Joukahaisenkatu 1). These changes will be notified later after the dates have been specified.
On 7 March 2022, the City Board of Turku approved the premises of Pihlajalinna Omasairaala Oy as a temporary facility for the Varissuo health station. At the same time, the City Board decided to propose to the Southwest Finland wellbeing services county that Varissuo should have a health and social services centre in the future.
