By bike
Arriving to Ruissalo by bike is easy, and the island has excellent cycle paths throughout.
By car
There are several car parks available in Ruissalo for those who arrive by car.
By bus
Bus number 8 takes you to conveniently from the city centre to Ruissalo in approximately 25 minutes.
By water bus (summer season)
Vessels m/s Ruissalo and m/s Jaarli run from Martinsilta bridge to Ruissalo and Pikisaari. It takes approximately 45 minutes to get from Martinsilta bridge to Kansanpuisto at Ruissalo. Bikes, prams and wheelchairs can travel in both vessels. However, matters of space and safety need to be considered during crowded departures. There will be more of fully accessible water bus stops coming soon.
Bikes travel with no extra charge.
By boat
If you arrive by boat, you can berth on the dock at Saaronniemi beach provided that you are using services in the area. Other places for berthing are provided by Turun Pursiseura, Ruissalo Spa and Ruissalo shipyard.
You can refuel your boat on the shore of Ruissalo Spa and at the gas station of Turun Pursiseura.
The ramp for launching boats is located at the end of Hevoskarintie near the Ruissalo shipyard. Your boat can remain at the dock during launching. The dock is used by the Föli water bus.
