Tourists can find Visit Turku’s Tourist Information at the Monitori by the Market Square. The tourist information office there provides expert advice and suggestions. The tourist office sells tickets for Visit Turku's guided walking tours. Walking tours are organised on a weekly basis and several times a week during the summer season. Available to buy are Food Walk cards as well as Kiss my Turku products. Tickets to the Turku City Theatre performances and Turku Philharmonic Orchestra as well as Turku Music Festival concerts.

The City of Turku arranges various concerts throughout the city. These concerts are often classical music concerts. The Turku Philharmonic Orchestra (TFO) is the oldest orchestra in Finland and among the oldest in the world. There are also concerts in the Old Town Hall on Sundays and in the Wäinö Aaltonen Museum of Art on Tuesdays.
The City of Turku offers many kinds of cultural activities for children.
The activities of the Adventure Park are geared towards children under 12. There you can watch theatre and musical performances and take part in a variety of events and art workshops. Some of the services are free of charge while others have a fee.
Turku Concert Hall hosts events and performances, and museums offer art workshops and guided tours for children. There are also theatre performances aimed at children at the Turku City Theatre.

The Finnish Adult Education Centre of Turku, owned by the City of Turku, is an education centre where you can study general, recreational and social studies. The centre is politically and ideologically independent.
The Finnish Adult Education Centre of Turku offers a large selection of high quality courses: it organises around 850–900 courses and lecture series per year.

Apart from the Main Library, Turku has 10 branch libraries, one service point in the Skanssi shopping centre, and two mobile libraries. Aunela, Hirvensalo, Ilpoinen, Nummi, Paattinen, Vasaramäki and Yli-Maaria libraries are self-service libraries that may be used independently with a library card and the attached pincode. These can be obtained at any Vaski library.
The City of Turku’s Recreation Division participates in the creation of a multicultural Turku by means of different activities: plays at Turku City Theatre, concerts by Turku Philharmonic Orchestra, various events arranged in the Turku City Library and exhibitions at different museums.
