What is Beyond 2030 Challenge?
Beyond 2030 Challenge is a science competition organised by the City of Turku and Bayer. The competition is supported by academics and industry. In the competition, upper secondary education students in groups of one to four people develop new ideas, innovations and applications that
a) help save the environment (solutions related to climate change, sustainable development, circular economy etc.) and/or
b) help save humanity (solutions related to social environment, wellbeing technology, reducing poverty and illnesses etc.)
The Beyond 2030 Challenge science competition offers students a unique opportunity to come up with and develop new ideas, innovations and applications based on science and technology that could save the planet and humanity – now and in the future. The ideas may be related to climate change, sustainable development, circular economy, social environment, wellbeing technology or reducing poverty or illnesses, for instance.
