Visiting

The Biological Museum, established in 1907, is a museum of natural history. Its 13 dioramas showcase Finnish nature from the southern archipelago to the fells of Lapland. The museum is a perfect destination for everyone interested in nature and cultural history.

The museum has 30 common Finnish mammals and 143 bird species on display. The small-scale exhibitions and events expand upon the museum’s themes.

The museum is particularly popular among families with children. It is also a great visiting destination for schools and kindergartens.

Please note

We love all critters. Pets are however not allowed in the museum.

Studded winter shoes are not allowed indoors, since our floors are old and will wear from the studs.
