Rules of the Youth Council’s Project Fund

Rules of the project funding granted by Turku Youth Council:

What is the Youth Council’s Project Fund?

  • Once a year (January–February) Turku Youth Council grants funding for young people’s own projects from the allowances of youth participation and hearing.
  • The aim of the project funding is to activate the youth into realizing functional projects that as many young people as possible can take part in (e.g. events, theme days, etc.).
  • The project must be planned, realized and evaluated (in a report form) by the youth.
  • The budget of the Project Fund is 10,000 euros / year.
  • The maximum amount granted for a single project is 2000 euros.
  • The applicants need to present their projects to the Youth Council, and the council then votes which of the projects will get funding and how much.
  • The presiding officers and secretaries of the Youth Council may pre-screen the projects if needed.
  • The projects will be presented during the meeting of the Youth Council in March.
  • The projects that received funding must be realized and reported during the year of application.
  • After the project has ended, a report must be submitted by filling the report form at www.turku.fi/nuorisovaltuusto or www.turku.fi/ungdomsfullmaktige and by adding it to the application form.  The report form must be submitted by the end of year.
