Humak University of Applied Sciences

Humak University of Applied Sciences (Humak) operates also in Turku and is part of the national Universities of Applied Sciences network (UASnet).

In Turku it is possible to study Civic Activities and Youth Work in order to become a professional Community Educator, or Creative Industries, Culture and Event Production to become a Cultural Manager.

Approximately 40 Community Educator students and 18 Cultural Manager students begin annually in Turku. These occupational studies can also be carried out as multiform learning. Dates and times for starting multiform learning are announced separately.


The Humak campus is located in Harjattula, on the island of Kakskerta, and the RDI-Centre (Research – Develop - Innovate), into which the students will transfer at the midpoint of their studies, is located at Logomo which is a centre of creative industries.
