Kerttuli Upper Secondary School ICT Track
Studying in the ICT track
Kerttuli Upper Secondary School ICT track is a national special upper secondary school accepted by the Ministry of Education. It is a continuation of the ‘future’s professionals of information technology and media’ track that began in autumn 2000, and it functions in close interaction with higher education institutions and business life.
The students of the special upper secondary school follow their own curriculum. The students graduating from the special upper secondary school must complete at least 12 special courses and can then leave out a maximum of 8 mandatory courses in other subjects.
Applying
When applying to the ICT track the average of theoretical subject grades in the comprehensive school final diploma will be used, but the grades of English, mother tongue, and mathematics are weighed by two. A person who wants to enter the ICT track should make Kerttuli Upper Secondary School normal track as their second choice, as many of the ICT courses can be completed also in the normal track.
