Child supervisor

Child supervisors deal with matters relating to the establishment and confirmation of paternity when the parents are not married to each other. They also confirm agreements relating to the custody, housing, visitation and maintenance of the children. After the recognition of paternity, the child supervisor submits the paternity documents to the local register office, where the child’s paternity is confirmed. Confirming the second maternity is a similar process to the paternity issue.

One can enter in the office no earlier than 15 minutes before the reserved time.

The unit´s permanent offices are situated in Turku, Salo, Parainen and Laitila. In addition, child supervision receptions are held in Naantali, Kaarina, Lieto, Somero, Mynämäki, Masku, Paimio and Kemiönsaari by appointment. An appointment can be arranged to take place in the office or reception of your choice.

Social workers

At the request of the court, social workers carry out a report on the situation of the parents and the child when the parents have not reached an agreement on matters relating to the child´s custody, housing and/ or visitation and the matter is sought at court. Parents will receive a letter from the social worker inviting them to the first appointment. In addition, social workers provide guidance and advice on adoption issues. For privacy issues, customer inquiries cannot be answered via email.
