Co-creation

Cooperation is a resource. Learning new things from co-creators and going outside our comfort zone encourages us to pursue new approaches. We believe that co-creation with end users and other patrons will result in a museum that we can be collectively proud of.

The Museum of History and the Future has from the start been planned together with the peoples of Turku, with companies and associations in the region and the universities. The questions asked have revolved around what makes a museum a museum, and what can you do and experience in a great museum. What makes Turku Turku, and whose stories should be told? What would be surprising in a museum? A florist? A cobbler and a tailor? A milk shop and an eco-friendly hairdresser? Rooftop gardens?
