Mein Schiff 6 is the fourth ship in the Mein Schiff series that will be built in Turku. When completed, it will be the sixth ship of TUI Cruises shipping company. Each ship in the series provides approximately 5 000 person years of work for Meyer Turku shipyard.

“We work in close co-operation with our customers and subcontractors. Carrying out such a big project demands the effort, skills and commitment of many contributors,” states Jan Meyer, the CEO of Meyer Turku.

Both Mein Schiff ships will be built by using environmentally friendly building technologies. The ships’ energy consumption is as much as 30 percent less than that of comparable cruisers.

Earlier this month Carnival Corporation, a British shipping company, ordered two cruisers from Meyer Turku shipyard.
