Turku is being comprehensively showcased at the Matka Nordic Travel Fair 2018, held from 19 to 21 January, in the Finnish Archipelago section, booth 6n2. Participants include Visit Turku, Challenge Turku, Flowpark, Suomi Gymnaestrada, Holiday Club Caribia, Samppalinna Summer Theatre, Sokos Hotels Turku and Radisson Blu Marina Palace Hotel Turku, Turku City Theatre, City of Turku Recreation Division, Viking Line and Åbo Svenska Teater.

In addition to exciting offers, the section includes a Flowpark climbing wall and a prize draw on every day of the exhibition. Turku is preparing for a year filled with sports events, one of the highlights of which will undoubtedly be the national gymnastics event Suomi Gymnaestrada, held on 7–10 June, which will bring thousands of gymnasts and spectators to Turku to enjoy sports and exercise. Turku Philharmonic Orchestra’s spring programme highlight at the Travel Fair is Vesa-Matti Loiri’s Runoilijan tie concert, held on 1–2 February at Turku Concert Hall.
