You can easily access culture and engage in sports activities from home or avoiding crows. Read tips below on how to promote wellbeing at home using City of Turku web content.
Coffee mornings at the library and accessible culture
Turku City Library started coffee mornings on their Instagram account on 18 March 2020. During coffee mornings, for one hour, library workers respond to customer questions on Instagram live, give reading tips, talk about their work and interview writers.
You can join coffee mornings by following @turunkaupunginkirjasto on Instagram.
Don’t forget e-books! A wide selection of books and an opportunity to enter new worlds are just a few click away. In order to borrow e-materials, you only need your library card and pin code.
Virtual time travel in museums
Museums are currently closed but those who are eager for history and information can still learn about the past. Audio tours in English take you to the medieval Turku Castle or the 18th century Qwensel house.
Turku Philharmonic Orchestra offers online concerts and games
High-definition recordings of different concerts can be found on the website of Turku Philharmonic Orchestra. Enjoy Serenade or join the celebration of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven.
Energy from outdoors
Exercise and sports help keep the spirits up. It is wise now to surround yourself with nature, if possible. On our website, you can find information on cultural exercise routes, fitness trails, bird watching towers, nature trails and other opportunities outdoors.
