Due to the emergency situation caused by coronavirus, the City of Turku Youth Services have begun to serve young people in many ways online.

Youth workers offer their customers conversation support and things to do in the digital world. Any young person is welcome to contact them about anything they wish to talk about – by calling, by text message or WhatsApp message. Conversations are confidential and in addition to Finnish, some youth workers can communicate in Swedish, English, Spanish or Arabic. You can contact the youth workers on Mondays and from Wednesday to Friday, from 12pm noon to 7pm. Youth workers offer young people company of a safe, listening and understanding adult, conversations, ideas for things to do and help with homework or motivation.

Vimma art and activity house for youth and Rock Academy activity begin to stream live music from the Vimma stage. The intention is to stream performances on a few days per week. Also other bands than those participating in Rock Academy are welcome to perform. In addition, Rock Academy has moved its basic operations online so that the music of participating bands is produced as remote work and also feedback and homework are given online.

In the Vimma art and activity house for youth, customer service operates by phone and by email during closure of facilities on weekdays from 9am to 6 pm, tel. +358 22623129/ vimma@turku.fi. On weekdays, Vimma also serves on Instagram (@vimmaturku) and on Facebook (toimintatalo.vimma). Responses to potential questions by customers are given on social media. RadioVimma is available for listening online. The radio also has its own Facebook account.
Easy crafts tips are also being planned, with the intention of sharing them on the Instagram account of Vimma.

On the social media channels (Instagram and Facebook) of adventure park Seikkailupuisto, you will find tips and things to do for days at home.

Nuorten Turku – Information Services for the Youth serve their customers by phone, WhatsApp and email nuortenturku@turku.fi from 12pm noon to 6pm on Mondays and from 12pm noon to 4pm from Wednesday to Friday. From NuortenTurku, you can ask about finding a summer job, housing, leisure activities and other things. The service is intended for young people under 30 years of age.
