At its meeting on 30 March 2020, the Turku City Board decided that the fee for morning and afternoon activities in basic education will not be charged if the child is absent from the activity club and the parents or other guardians can by other means make arrangements for the child’s care during the time when the Government decree and the temporary restrictions on the obligation to organize early childhood education, teaching and education are in place.

In March, 50 per cent of the normal customer fee will be charged if the child has been absent since 18 March. In April, the fee will not be charged if the child has been in home care for the whole of April. In May, the fee is 50 per cent if the child participates in morning and afternoon activities after 13 May.
