Despite the challenging current social situation, the autumn event season starts off with many kinds of events. We have gathered a list of event highlights from September to November. Please note that you only participate in events in full health and remember to follow national hygiene and coughing regulations as well as safe distances.

20.9. Turku Day

On the residents of Turku’s own day, a great selection of events will be featured. Among other things you can get to know the neighbourhood of former state prison Kakola, pop into a museum or two, enjoy dance and musical performances or celebrate Turku Day with Turku’s own doughnut – Piispanmunkki and a cup of coffee. The day will culminate with the traditional firework show!

20.−21.9. Clean Beach – Collective beach cleaning

10.10. Movie Day

Yet again, the city will turn into one giant film theatre. Free of charge film screenings are offered all around town, and anyone can arrange their own free screening.

10.−11.10. Nordic Fitness Expo and Finland’s Strongest man and woman 2020 -championships

The weekend will feature the Finnish championships in fitness as well as Finland’s strongest man and woman. In addition, enjoy the fair atmosphere, sports presentations and lectures.

10.−11.10. PM Races

The Nordic championships of cold bloods will be settled at Metsämäki racetrack. The day also features versatile program for the whole family. 

14.−16.10. Finnish championships in Artisan food, Raisio

17.10. Nature picture of the Year 2020 Festival

The largest nature picture event in the Nordic countries will be held at Logomo. At the event Nature picture of the year 2020 will be unveiled, alongside 40 other pictures awarded in the competition.

17.10. Children’s Carnival

Program and all things fun for children in the center of Turku.

24.10. I think – because I can! – The youths’ own philosophy event

27.−28.10. The Shift (online + live)

The business festival of the future expands. This year, festival events will be held both virtually and physically at Event Center Joki.

4.−8.11. TIP Fest

The theme for this year’s puppet theatre festival is light, which will be utilized in everything from performance themes, puppet design to materials.

Small screenings and big surprises are in store as the multi-artistic and diverse FinFringe Festival arrives in town for the second time. Prepare yourself to be surprised!
