Vaski Libraries use two digital reading platforms that require a library card and an attached pincode. Ellibs hosts a variety of fiction and nonfiction in Finnish. OverDrive is predominantly English.
Both platforms have ebooks and audiobooks for adults, and teenagers and children as well.
eLibrary is the home for browsing both Ellibs and OverDrive collections. With the Vaski Libraries logo in the up-per right hand corner, you’ll be able to see all ebooks and audiobooks available and you’ll be only a click away from borrowing or reserving something. eLibrary web site was recently refurbished and is now even easier to navigate!
Audiobooks range from classics to the latest
More audiobooks to stream can be found in Naxos Spoken Word service. NSW platform has audiobooks mostly in English, French and German. Many old classics to listen to and a variety of newer fiction and nonfiction.
Mobile device users should download the NSWL App from an application store. NSWL App enables you to download audiobooks for offline use. Instructions for the app use can be found here.
Naxos Music Library with its’ new look lights up the dark autumn nights. Vaski Libraries offer you access to Naxos Music Library for art music, Naxos Jazz Music Library and Naxos World Music Library. The selection of these three music libraries is vast, but navigating is made easy! Naxos Music Library alone offers a diverse selection of classical and art music, and even nature sounds.
All three music libraries need a separate user account for mobile device use. That is easily done and you can download the required application from your application store. Applications are called NML, NML Jazz and NML World.
