The pastors responsible for work among exchange students and faculty are University Chaplains Mia Pusa and Tiina Hallikainen (University of Turku, Åbo Akademi University and Novia University of Applied Sciences) and University Chaplain and Chaplain of Vocational Education Atte Airaksinen (all Finnish speaking vocational schools and universities of applied sciences in Turku).

The university chaplains are members of different workgroups dealing with the psychosocial well-being of students and personnel, work closely with student unions and student health services and provide specialist and crisis support and counseling.

The university chaplains represent the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland but serve all members of the university communities without exceptions respecting all genders and all faiths and none. The counseling offered by the university chaplains is free of charge and always based on non-discrimination and full professional confidentiality.
