With the decision of the Regional State Administrative Agency of Southwest Finland, the maximum permitted number of participants in gatherings was increased to 10 persons in the Southwest Finland on 15 May 2021. Southwest Finland is still in the community transmission phase of the epidemic, which means that public events and other meetings can be organised for up to 10 participants in the Southwest Finland area from 15 May onwards, provided that it is actually possible for the customers, participants and groups to avoid close contact with each other. The restriction applies to indoor spaces as well as confined outdoor areas and is in force until 31 May 2021.

End-of-term celebrations and graduations of day care centres and schools are organised without large gatherings and only for limited number of children and young people, provided that the safe distances can be maintained. Guardians, loved ones or other guests will not be invited. The City of Turku recommends that private graduation parties be planned with the Regional State Administrative Agency’s restrictions in mind, and any changes to these restrictions on 31 May will be announced as soon as we have more information.
