Starting Tuesday 27 July, a small number of Turku residents will be able to receive their first coronavirus vaccination via the pop up vaccination queue without booking an appointment. During the first phase of the daily queue, a maximum of 50 people in Turku are admitted on business days. Those arriving can pick up their queueing number from beside the Turku Fair Center’s main entrance.

The vaccination queue is situated outside the Fair Center. The persons administering vaccines at the Fair Center will vaccinate those in the queue during uncancelled vaccination appointments when those who have booked the appointment do not arrive.

“We want to make the vaccination process even more efficient so that as many people as possible are vaccinated,” says Chief Physician for Infectious Diseases Jutta Peltoniemi.

The Turku Fair Center (address: Messukentänkatu 9–13) opens daily at 8.45. at which point visitors can get the first queue number for the vaccination line.
The last vaccination appointments at the Fair Center are daily at 15.25.

Vaccinations will be available from the Fair Center's pop up vaccination queue until 13 August.

Coronavirus vaccinations are currently being administered in Turku to all those aged 16 or over and to those at risk aged 12-15.

The pop up queue is only for those who wish to receive the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
