  • about 200 stations

Season 2023

  • Planning is ongoing

Season started in July - Ruisrock got its own pop-up station

In July, the first users were able to ride bikes, for example, to Ruisrock, where a pop-up station had been set up for the bikes. It is possible to have a pop-up station in connection with other public events also, which is made possible by dynamic stations that are visible in the Donkey bike application, but not necessarily marked on the terrain.

The bikes were driven for over 150 000 kilometres

A total of 6,506 unique users registered during the first season, and 3,444 users registered as monthly, seasonal or Föli's season card users. A total of 82,796 rentals and more than 100,000 trips were made in 2022, the exact number being 100,593. The popularity of fölläri bikes grew steadily throughout the season and the most popular cycling months were September and October. One bike was driven on average 1.5 rides per day during the season, at its best an average of 1.9 rides per day in September.

- Users found the bikes well during the first season, but we won't get to see what the whole season looks like until next year, says project coordinator Jere Sipponen from the city of Turku, and continues: It is interesting to note that 75 percent of the rentals were for trips of 15 minutes or less and 74 percent of the trips were 1–3 kilometers, which means that the bikes work well for short trips.

Users have been satisfied

The bikes received an overall rating of 4.4/5 and the Net Promoter Score (NPS), which measures the recommendability of the service, was 68/100 for the entire season. In recent months, the NPS value was even a full 100.

The ten most popular stations and the number of rentals per station were as follows:

  1. Ikituuri 4 650
  2. Tyyssija 3 712
  3. Tykistökatu 2 146
  4. Vähätori 2 065
