Playground Activities
Activities for children aged 1.5–6 are organized at playgrounds on weekdays between 9.00 and 12.30.
To let your child play safely outdoors together with other children supervised by the playground attendants, please enroll by contacting the day care workers of the playground directly. Also please note that there will be no playground activities if temperature is -12 degrees Celsius or below.
The participation fee is 27 euros per month for the youngest child and 23 euros per month for each older sibling. If the child stays in the playground part-time, the fee is 23 euros per month. The monthly fee for children who do not live in Turku is 33 euros. Playground activities do not affect the day care allowances of Kela (the Social Insurance Institution of Finland).
Playgrounds are being maintained and toys and other equipment is being replaced constantly. Public Utility Property Management of Turku is responsible for the maintenance of playgrounds and building of new ones.
