Do I need a permit for my advertisement?
If you want to place an advertisement on a land area that is owned by the City of Turku, you will need a permit from the city.
Permits for permanent advertisements
Permanent advertisements on city-owned land also require building and siting permits. These spots are rented for 5–10 years depending on the contract. The rent depends on the size of the advertisement. Apply for a permit with a free-form application that includes the following information:
The purpose of the enterprise parking permit is to ease the parking needs of companies operating in the City of Turku area. With an enterprise parking permit, the holder may park the vehicle covered by the permit in the permit parking area. Permit parking spaces are designated separately by traffic signs to apply to certain street sections. The permit holder may park in a paid space without paying a separate parking fee and in a time-limited space without restrictions and without indicating the arrival time. Enterprise parking is in use in eight permit areas A-H in Turku.
City plan areas
It is not permitted to work on the streets and other public areas within the city plan without a permit from the city. In this case an appropriate permit for the work must be acquired (permits for fences, digs, and/or siting).
Permits for areas outside the city plan
If the activity in question falls outside the public right of access, a permit from the landowner is needed for work in an area (such as a forest or field).
Business Plots
The City of Turku has plots available and suitable for business premises. The plots are mainly located in the precincts of Ohikulkutie (Turku bypass), Tampereentie, and the airport. The plots can be either leased or purchased. A building obligation will be put on the plot. The locations and prices of plots that are ready to be assigned can be found through the Turku City Map Service.
