The main library has meeting, event, and exhibition facilities of various sizes available for rent. The facilities canbe used during the opening hours of the library. Other times may be agreed on in exceptional cases. An additional fee will be charged if the facilities are used outside opening hours.
The stunning facilities are named after characters and places in Aleksis Kivi’s classic novel, Seitsemän veljestä (Seven Brothers).
The swimming area comprises eight pools with different purposes. There is a suitable pool for everyone, whether you are a fitness swimmer, a parent with children or a water sports enthusiast. Pools are called Venla, Juhani, Tuomas, Aapo, Simeoni, Timo, Lauri and Eero.
Impivaara gyms Jukola, Toukola and Männistö have comprehensive and spacious strength training and aerobics facilities.
The church of Turku Castle is one of the city’s most popular churches for weddings and christenings. Previously a banquet hall for the Duke’s court, the space was consecrated as a church in 1706.
Also concerts and e.g. scouts’ oath taking ceremonies can be organized at the Castle Church. Renters can arrange religious services in the Castle Church with their own parish. There is an organ in the church.
