Turku is taking part in a trial in which children will start pre-primary education at the age of five. The trial will be carried out by the Ministry of Education and Culture from the start of August 2021 to the end of May 2024. The trial involves children born in 2016 and 2017.
This project is part of the regional development project package funded by the Ministry of the Interior: “Co-development and research project for regional preparation of rescue services reform”. The project is part of the theme of civil defence and preparedness, the sub-theme of which is the development of a national civil defence operating model.
