This grant is meant to support the building of sports or exercise facilities, as well as expansion projects and small scale renovations. The aim of this grant is to get new exercise facilities for the residents of Turku and to encourage sports and exercise clubs to create good conditions for residents of Turku to train and compete.

Conditions of eligibility
This grant can be applied for by all Turku-based sports and exercise clubs.
Clubs and organizations mainly use facilities that are owned and maintained by the city. The grant is meant to support clubs and organizations with their rent if they use other facilities that are not owned by the city, with some limitations and exceptions.
A reserved appropriation includes the support given to the water sports and swimming activities of disability organizations.

Sports and exercise clubs based in Turku have the possibility to apply for affordable club wristbands to the Impivaara Swimming Centre for their members.
The main user groups of the hall may get a Club Wristband applicable for both individual and group use. Athletics, rowing and canoeing, orienteering, ring gymnastics, and triathlon clubs based in Turku are regarded as the main users.
For adults the use costs 40 € / 20 entries. For under 20-year-olds the use is free. The cost of the wristband is 8 €.
The Sports Service Centre offers training courses for the instructors, coaches, parents, and clerical workers of sports and exercise clubs in Turku free of charge. Topics include, for example:
- instructor skills
- coaching
- nutrition
- management of finances
- communications
The training courses are aimed at both beginners as well as more experienced veterans.
The training courses are realized in co-operation with neighbouring municipalities and Lounais-Suomen Liikunta ja Urheilu.
