The Provincial Archives of Turku
The Provincial Archives keeps the over 40-year-old and permanently kept documents of state government officials operating or having operated in the former Turku and Pori Province, the current Regional Council of Satakunta, and the Regional Council of Southwest Finland.
The divisional archives and the Turku City Archives are responsible for the records of the City of Turku. The Turku City Archives also acts as the municipal central archives and attends to the city’s oldest permanently stored records. New documents are stored mainly in the divisional archives.
