This recently renovated administrative building dates back to 1967. It is a prime example of the architecture of its time. The Aitiopaikka banquet hall contains the building’s original protected stone wall. Situated on the Aura River, next to the Turku City Theatre, the large terrace provides a view of the river and the Independence Square.
One of Turku’s finest hotels is also one of the most popular congress venues in the city. The adaptable and versatile second floor meeting facilities can host several hundred guests. The stylish and spacious first floor lobby area is suitable for small gatherings and receptions. The scenic windows of the stylish lobby areas and the banquet floor at Marina Palace display an unrestricted wall-length view of the Aura River, which provides a spectacular view when lit in winter as well as on a summer’s evening.
The pioneer of ferry travelling Bore is anchored close to the Forum Marinum Maritime Centre, near the harbour and Turku Castle. The former steam boat travelled between Finland and Sweden in the 1960s, and guarantees a retro atmosphere from a time when ferries were still furnished with brass and hardwood.
