Payment of the Social Assistance
In general, you can withdraw the Basic Social Assistance from your banc account in three bank days since the payment has been made after receiving the decision. You can check the payments of the basic social assistance by signing in the service Omapalvelu.

When you call a health station, a nurse will evaluate your situation and in urgent cases will guide you to a practice during the same day. In non-urgent cases you may also book an appointment for a nurse or doctor via the electronic service.

The Welfare Services Division of Turku City offers Turku residents access to doctors’ and nurses’ receptions in both basic and special health care. Services are available from health stations, child welfare clinics and special outpatient clinics, among others. Most services are by appointment only.
If you fall ill and need the services of a doctor or a nurse, please contact your local health station. Child welfare services are available, for example, at Maternity and Child Welfare Clinics. A referral is required for special health care.
