Safety instructions for participants in Children´s wonderland
• Anyone can atted the event, number of participants is not limited. One can arrive to the event when ever.
• Every child should have a responsible adult with them. We recommend that one adult is needed for 1-3 children.

The Kupittaa Sports Hall is a versatile place to do sports and exercise. Many kind of people, from small children to elderly men and from top athletes to occasional visitors, meet at the hall as they train.
The Kupittaa Sports Hall entry fee includes both the gym downstairs and the servicies of the upstairs facilities. If you exercise regularly, you should get an Exercise Wristband onto which you can load entries. Further information about entrance fees can be found from the price list below.

There are many possibilities for people of all ages and conditions to do sports and exercise in Turku. Services offered by the City of Turku are affordable and some even free of charge. There is something for both beginners as well as for more experienced hobbyists. Also, over 300 sports clubs and associations organize versatile sports services.
Immigrants are welcome to use all services organized by the Sports Services Centre. All Turku residents can also participate in multicultural activities. Gym, swimming and ball sports are offered seperately to men and women.
Participation at half price for immigrants who have lived in Turku for less than three years (i.e. are covered by the Act on the Integration of Immigrants), or are participating in KOTO activities.

Multicultural sports and exercise clubs
Gym training is a versatile and safe form of exercise which suits almost everyone.
At Turku City's gyms you can train either independently or in a group with an instructor. If you are not familiar with gym training, you can learn the basics by joining a gym ABC course. Some of the gyms can also be reserved for the use of your own group.
The age limit at the gyms is 15 years. 13–14-year-olds are allowed to train with a parent or a coach present.
Kupittaa Sports Centre is located 2 km southwest of the city centre. The sports centre is part of the Kupittaa park area which is the biggest, oldest and widest city park in Finland.
Impivaara Sports Centre is located about 3 km north of the city centre. The sports centre has a variety of sports possibilities all year around.

Explore the history of Turku by taking the Heart of Finland route. At the same time you will learn about the development of the region of the river Aura and Turku. Walk, run or cycle, the choice is yours.
The route starts from the Turku city centre and continues through the Maaherran Makasiini to the Old Castle of Lieto. The length of the route is 11.5 km. There are 12 information boards along the route.

Familiarize yourself with Turku city center architecture by taking the ArchitecTOUR route. The route introduces the city's architecture and how it has changed. Walk, run or cycle, the choice is yours.
There are two route options: you may choose a shorter or a longer version. The total length of both routes is 9.63 km.

The route starts from the city centre, goes around the Samppalinna lido and continues to the Student Village. The length of the Amazing Turku route is 4.8 km.
Work out in the stairs of Turku
Add stairs to your route and get in shape in a fun way! One step up the stairs is equivalent to ten steps on flat ground. In the city center area there are three Stepping It Up routes containing lots of stairs. At the same time you can familiarize yourself with the history of Turku.

Dance and theatre meet in Turku!

The Turku City Theatre was founded in 1946 and was the first fully municipal theatre in Finland. Experience Turku City Theatre shows at the temporary facilities of Logomo and Linna theatre.
Many open-air theatres give performances in summer. Summer theatres are very popular, so it is a good idea to purchase the tickets well in advance. Tickets can be purchased online for many theatres.
Turku has three art museums. Wäinö Aaltonen Museum of Art, located on the Aura riverside, is the art museum of the City of Turku. Ars Nova is a museum of modern art and also located on the Aura riverside. Turku Art Museum is located at Puolalanmäki.
