In Finland you pay income tax on your income. The taxation is progressive which means that your tax rate depends on how big is your income. If you come to work in Finland from another country, your taxation depends on how long you will stay in Finland and whether your employer is a Finnish or foreign company.

Cooperation is a resource. Learning new things from co-creators and going outside our comfort zone encourages us to pursue new approaches. We believe that co-creation with end users and other patrons will result in a museum that we can be collectively proud of.
The Linnanniemi area, located on the furthest tip of the Turku peninsula, will experience major changes over the next decades. The top ten competition proposals of an idea competition held in 2020 have been used in the planning of the area.
The winning proposition of the Linnanniemi idea competition was a proposal titled Kolme palaa (‘Three pieces/Three on fire/Three returns’) by the Lithuanian-Finnish group After Party. In the proposal, the museum building is placed on the waterfront in the current port area.
In September 1827, Turku was hit by an enormous disaster. The centre of Finland's oldest city was almost completely destroyed in a massive fire. The heart of the medieval city was lost in just one night, and most of what remained of old Turku was demolished under reconstruction. These lost landscapes fascinate us today; what was our city like and what would it be today if not for the fire?
