City of Turku and Siemens three-year cooperation
The City of Turku and Siemens have undertaken a ground-breaking three-year strategic cooperation. This is the first time one of the world's largest conglomerates has entered into such a long-term collaboration with a local government organisation.
The cooperation will concentrate on realising concrete projects:

The cooperation will include, for example, information sharing and research related to sustainable development. The end result will be reports that are made public. Call for tenders relating to co-operation projects will always be held separately, according to public procurement regulations.
Siemens and Turku began co-operation through the World B usiness Council for Sustainable Development's, Urban Infrastructure program. The WBCSD's Turku Report "Solutions Landscape"recommended new energy and traffic solutions.
