Luostarinmäki is located on a stony slope on the south side of Vartiovuori Hill. Grounds are uneven and rough. There are steps leading to the interiors, and doorways are narrow. We ask wheelchair users to please visit the museum with a personal assistant if possible.
There are two disabled parking spots next to the museum gate.
A stoned pathway leads from Vartiovuorenkatu street to the gate. The pathway is fitted with handrails and levelled resting areas. During summer season you will find a touchable ceramic model of the museum area, specifically designed for persons with a visual impairment, next to the ticket office.
A more accessible route designed for wheelchair users will take you from the inner yard of the ticket office towards the museum. You will receive a map with the accessible interiors found along the route through the museum.
Wheelchair ramps lead to the museum shop, restrooms, café and room with the history of taverns.
