The Maternity Care Ultrasound Unit complements the work of the Maternity Clinic and provides services to all pregnant women in Turku. The Unit does primarily screenings during pregnancy. Participation in all pregnancy screenings is totally voluntary.
At the clinic we safeguard your health, that of your unborn child and entire family. We also support you in preparing for the changes that childbirth will bring. You will see a public health nurse and a doctor during the pregnancy and, if you wish, participate in ultrasound examinations and prenatal screening. Spouses are welcome to appointments. Prenatal acknowledgment of paternity can also be done.
At the Child Welfare Clinic, we follow the development of your child from infancy to the start of school. We help your family address questions about child development, upbringing and care as well as relationship issues and difficult life situations. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
