Decision on fees and invoicing
- eVaka sends decisions in the middle of the month automatically based on the information that was valid at the time. If you only submit your income information later, but still during the month when your child starts in ECEC, we make a new decision.
- Check the information in the payment decision immediately, as you will be invoiced on the basis of the decision. The appeal period is thirty days.
- The invoice for the month is sent the following month. For example, the January invoice is sent mid-February.
- The invoice is delivered to OmaPosti or Kivra. If you do not have access to these services, the invoice is sent by post. After the first invoice, you can conclude an e-invoice agreement.
Pay invoices as e-invoices
- Pay the service fees for early childhood education and care conveniently as an e-invoice. An e-invoice is an easy and quick way to pay with just a couple of clicks without needing to enter account or reference numbers every time. You can also set up an automatic payment.

Fees in private early childhood education and care
The prices of private ECEC providers vary. Ask the day-care centre or family daycare provider about their fees.
Service voucher
A service voucher is a support granted by the municipality for families who have chosen a private day-care centre, family day-care provider or group family day-care centre as their ECEC place.
The value of the service voucher is determined by the child’s age, the number of hours reserved, and the family size and income. You pay the difference between the value of the service voucher and the price of the private ECEC place. The difference is the same as what the family’s day care fee would be in municipal early childhood education and care. In addition, a private day-care centre may charge additional fees; contact your preferred private ECEC place to inquire directly.
