Moving to Turku
When you move to Turku, you can handle permit matters through the Finnish Immigration Service's Enter Finland online service or at a service point. You can register as a resident of Turku at the Digital and Population Data Services Agency. We have compiled information here about important services for those moving.
Permit Matters
The Finnish Immigration Service handles all residence permit matters, registration of EU citizens, and citizenship applications. The Finnish Immigration Service is located in Helsinki, but it has service points around Finland. The nearest service point for residents of Turku is in Raisio.
Finnish Immigration Service Service Point:
Nallinkatu 8 21200 Raisio
Phone: 029 5419600
You need to book an appointment in advance if you want to visit the service point. You can make an appointment electronically through the Finnish Immigration Service's appointment booking service.
If you cannot book an appointment and your permit is about to expire and you cannot submit an electronic application, you can visit the service point by queuing with a number. However, be prepared that you may have to wait a long time and may not be able to handle your matter on the same day.
Finnish Immigration Service
You can apply for many residence permits and EU registration online through the Enter Finland service. If you are not familiar with using a computer, submit a paper application and deliver it to the Finnish Immigration Service's service point.
