Finland's biggest science competition for young people is looking for the best idea of ​​the year - €5,000 for the winner

The science and technology competition Beyond 2030 Challenge challenges all secondary school students in Finland to come up with creative solutions to questions that burn the mind (or touch humanity), and even save the whole world. The competition is jointly organized by the city of Turku and the pharmaceutical company Bayer.

Varissuo health station will move to temporary facilities in Kupittaa in October

The temporary facilities of Varissuo health station are located in Kupittaa (Untamonkatu 1B). During the move, the health station will be closed from 7 to 11 October 2022. The Varissuo health station will open in the temporary facilities on Wednesday 12 October.

Young people solve environmental challenges without prejudice using games and circular economy solutions

The national Beyond 2030 Challenge science competition of the City of Turku and Bayer is making rapid progress. The pre-jury has selected 25 teams to continue, of which the jury selected a further 10 teams to compete for the final phase of the science competition. The science competition is aimed at all students in upper secondary education on a national level.

During the sign-up phase of Beyond 2030 Challenge, the competition's sponsors will write articles of their company's sustainable development goals and procedures. The solutions, ideas and innovations presented in the articles will work as inspiration for the students of upper secondary education that are eligible to apply to the competition. From these articles, the students can learn from professionals, which type of procedures and actions are implemented in companies of different sectors to carry out sustainable development.
