What is family day care?
Family day care is early childhood education that happens in a caregiver’s home. In family day care your child will get safe and purposeful education in a home environment and with a small group.
You can have a maximum of 4 children in a family day care group including the caregiver’s own children. Your child will get a backup care place to go to during the caregiver’s holidays and other absences. Family day care is for children of early childhood education age.
How to apply for family day care?
Fill out an early childhood education application in the early childhood education’s online service eVaka. Submit your application at least four months before your child starts attending early childhood education.
