The city centre’s outdoor statues and environmental artworks are divided between three route options. One is located around the Turku Cathedral and the University, the second around the Samppalinna hill and the third around the Aura riverside and Puolalanmäki.

Turku has become a city of film productions. Many famous Finnish movies have been shot in Turku. In addition, Turku has many places where it is possible to watch movies.
Mika Kaurismäki's new movie the Girl King was filmed in Turku. The movie is going to air in September 2015.

Puppet theatre for adults? Musicals for kids? On a grand stage or intimately at a people’s house?
The Turku City Theatre was founded in 1946 and was the first fully municipal theatre in Finland. Experience Turku City Theatre shows at the temporary facilities of Logomo and Linna theatre.
Many open-air theatres give performances in summer. Summer theatres are very popular, so it is a good idea to purchase the tickets well in advance. Tickets can be purchased online for many theatres.
Turku has three art museums. Wäinö Aaltonen Museum of Art, located on the Aura riverside, is the art museum of the City of Turku. Ars Nova is a museum of modern art and also located on the Aura riverside. Turku Art Museum is located at Puolalanmäki.

Turku City Sports Services Centre maintains Impivaara and Varissuo ice halls.
During public hours anyone can ice skate from August to April. The public hours are open for all and free of charge, but hockey sticks are not allowed.

There are lifeguards present in Ekvalla, Ispoinen, and Saaronniemi beaches during schools' summer vacation (5th Jun - 10th Aug 2020) every day between 11.00 and 18.00 (lifeguards have a lunch break from 13.30 to 14.00).
Turku has many courts and fields for a variety of games and sports competitions. Some fields must be reserved while others are in public use without reservations.

Information about cultural services aimed at different target groups is available from the Cultural Coordinators of Turku City Recreation Division. They produce and develop services for children and the youth, persons of working age, Swedish speaking persons, the elderly, and immigrants in extensive co-operation with other operators.
The mission of the Sports Services is to encourage Turku residents to be physically active enough to improve and maintain their health.
The main services provided include:
