On Turku Day 18 September all students have the opportunity to get to know their home town by participating in cheerful Turku Day Appro!
The City of Turku invites students to explore their hometown on Turku Day, 18th of September. The Appro is free of charge. At the Appro, participants visit different Turku Day events and collect stamps on their Appropass. After collecting enough stamps, participants will get overall badges for finishing their degree.
Präkäämö – Young people`s own art workshop
Präkäämö is a handicraft workshop for 10–18-year-olds, where you can carry out your own ideas through changing themes.
A youth card is required to participate in Präkäämö.
Activities with the youth card are free of charge. Some supplies have a small material fee.
A free youth card can be obtained from the 1st floor service point.

Art and time together
Sunday in Vimma invites you to spend a relaxed Sunday doing art and things together.
At the Event of the Day, which takes place once a month, the agenda includes art workshops and a changing program organized by young people with their own event and activity team, i.e., Ta & to.

Handbuilding clay and use of potter`s wheel. Suitable for beginners, instructors will help you get started.
The Taiteen talo arts centre was opened in Turku in spring 2022 as a home for art and culture – for artists, local residents, and tourists alike. Taiteen talo is located in Rettig's old tobacco factory in the middle of Turku's Old Town,.
Activities are spread out over the six floors of the former tobacco factory, and its courtyard buildings. A wide array of creative professionals, including visual and performing artists, work on the premises, and the house presents all kinds of exhibitions, performances, events, and workshops.

Monitori Market Square is a joint centralised customer service point of the City of Turku and Kela, located right at the centre of Turku on the corner of the Market Square. Monitori serves its customers face-to-face, by phone or by chat.
Tourists can find Visit Turku’s Tourist Information at the Service Point Monitori by the Market Square. The tourist information office there provides expert advice and suggestions all year round.
From The tourist office you can ask information about for Visit Turku's popular guided walking tours. Walking tours are organised several times a month during the summer season. Upcoming walking tours can be found via the online shop.
Who is this funding meant for?
Project funding can be applied for by groups of 13-19-year-olds who live or study in Turku. A group must consist of at least three people.
Funding is granted for functional projects that are planned and realized by the groups themselves and benefit as many people as possible. The maximum amount granted for one group is 2000 euros. A total of over 10,000 euros of project funding is granted annually.
Group visits must be arranged separately with each library.
Turku Main Library is one of the most used library in the Nordic countries. It operates in two buildings: the old building was finished in 1903 and the new one in 2007.
Guided tours are organized for groups. The maximum size of a group is 20 persons, and the tour takes 60 minutes.
Tours should be reserved at least one week before the desired date. Guided tours are arranged in Finnish, Swedish, and English, other languages agreed on separately.

Student Health Care provides health care services for students studying in upper secondary school and vocational school. The services are meant for students in lines of study which entitle student financial aid, with the following exceptions:
In addition to municipal family day care, there is also private family day care which is monitored by the municipality.
Group family day care is suitable for children aged 1 to 5 years. In group family day care two childminders look after a maximum of eight children.
Also a person who is hired by a family as a nanny to look after the child at the family’s home is considered to provide private day care. The nanny can be a grandparent, for example, but not a member of the same household.
