Outdoor gym devices offer a fun way to train muscles outdoor anytime for free while enjoying the fresh air. With outdoor gym devices, such as lat pull down, pull up, leg press and benches, one can exercise the whole body. The combination of devices varies between places.

Most of the fields in free use are small sand fields with the exception of ten sand fields for small-sided games. The fields are covered with either sand or stone dust.

Beach volleyball courts are soft sand courts.
Most of the beach volleyball courts are free of charge for everyone except the court in Sports Park (4 euros per hour). Regular reservations can be applied for some of the courts and are distributed every spring. Public reservations can be made at any time during the season via Timmi reservation planner. Permissions for events must be applied for two months in advance. One must be of age in order to make reservations.
Some of the courts are in free use. All courts can be used freely if there are no reservations at the time.
There are clay, artificial lawn and asphalt surface courts for tennis players in Turku. Clay courts can be used only with reservation. Other courts can be used by anyone if they are free.
Please note that it is also possible to make reservation online. TVS-Tennis ry is responsible for the reservations of the Sports Park tennis courts.
Both public and regular reservations for the artificial turf fields can be booked in the reservation planner Timmi. When a field is free, one can play there without a reservation. Night time silence at 22-07.

In addition to beach volleyball courts, Turku city has outdoor volleyball courts that have a stone dust surface. Usage of volleyball courts doesn't require reservation. Courts are open and free of charge for everyone.
The City of Turku maintains one skateboard hall and eight skateboarding places and skateparks.
City of Turku is renting and borrowing sports and leisure equipment. Fendari is borrowing equipment for outdoor use and others for sports.
