Booking and renting of rooms
Please note that all library facilities are discrimination free space.
The premises of Turku City Library are available for educational, cultural, and public events. The library premises are not generally used for commercial or paid events. The library’s facilities are primarily used for events and exhibitions organized by the library itself or co-organized with it.
Rooms can be booked and rented through the Varaamo service. For more information on the use of each room, its facilities and available rent, please see the information on each room in the Varaamo service.
How to book a room
- Reservation forms take three working days to process. Payment for renting a room can be made at the Main Library Newsstand or online.
- If your booking is accepted, you will receive a booking confirmation by email.
- You can pay for any room renting at the Main Library's Newsstand or online.
- Reservations that are not cancelled at least one week before the agreed date will be charged at the full rent. Exceptional circumstances will be negotiated separately.
- A new booking cannot start earlier than one hour after the end of the previous event, unless otherwise agreed.
- The premises are rented for six months in advance.

Please make arrangements with the library well in advance of the event. Check the reserve list to see what furniture and equipment is available for each room.
